The ENT recommended giving my two-year-old daughter the drug Imupret N. On the Internet I found a mention of the fact that giving this drug to young children you can evaporate ethanol. How to do it?

There is no need to evaporate ethanol. The amounts contained in the drug will not have a negative effect on the child. However, the evaporation of ethanol will negatively affect the quality of the drug administered. The high temperature necessary for this process can decompose active compounds that have a healing effect. According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, Imupret N contains approximately 19% (v/v) of ethanol (alcohol), which means that 25 drops of the product contain approximately 210 mg of ethanol, which is equal to 5 ml of beer or 2 ml of wine. A single dose of 10 drops used in children aged 2 years contains about 80 mg of ethanol.
