Can I reduce my dose of Prestarium or stop taking it before I get to see my cardiologist?

Hello, from my observations it appears that after the drug prestarium 10 mg, my pressure drops very much, it gets dark in front of my eyes, I have no strength, I have palpitations, I feel tingling in my hands and I have cramps toes.. The pressure does not fall to about 110/70. I am after a heart attack and stents (since April). These tablets have been taken since then, i.e. since April. 1x in the morning. Can I reduce my dose of this medicine or stop taking it before I get to see my cardiologist?

If you try to stop taking the pills yourself, you may run the risk of complications. It is known that after discontinuation of drugs in the case of primary hypertension, there is always a relapse of the disease – after about a year after discontinuation of drugs, usually most people have to return to taking tablets again. In this case, I suggest that you consult your family doctor, who, based on your current clinical condition, will decide on further proceedings. If you are unable to get to your primary care doctor, the gdziepolek.pl service allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with your doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
