The maximum recommended daily dose for both medicines is 10 mg. The use of a larger amount threatens the occurrence of side effects, such as drowsiness, headaches or tachycardia, and does not provide a stronger antiallergic effect. Overdose was observed at a dose of cetirizine at least 5 times the recommended daily dose.
