Good morning, I supplemented folic acid in a 15 dose - prescribed by a doctor. In the last results, folic acid came out above 200 with a norm that is up to 23. What can this indicate and is it serious?

Folic acid at a dose of 15 mg is available as a prescription drug. It is not used for supplementation (it is not a dietary supplement), and its task is to treat diseases or, as in this case, deficiencies. If, after using the drug, the norm has been exceeded 10 times, it is worth consulting your doctor. Perhaps this was an intentional effect and this is to alleviate the symptoms of the disease. Due to the exceeded norm, it may be necessary to discontinue the drug. If the level of folic acid does not fall, the doctor may decide to expand the diagnosis.
