Good morning, is it possible to simultaneously take decaline (D3 2000j.m.) daily and Fultium (D3 20 000j.m.) once a week in case of osteoporosis. Is such a dose of vit. D3 is not too high?

The recommended dose of vitamin D3 for people suffering from osteoporosis is not less than 800IU per day. The dose is based on the desired serum concentration of 25-hydroxycholecalciferol (25(OH)D), the severity of the disease and the patient's response to treatment. According to current medical knowledge, doses of vitamin D are adjusted for a specific patient and are not synonymous with the recommended ones. Fultium is a drug available with a doctor's prescription, Dekalcin is a dietary supplement. If the preparations were recommended by the same specialist in combined therapy, please follow the dosage set by your doctor. If you introduce Dekalcin to supplementation yourself, you should think about the legitimacy of its use, due to the fact that you are already taking a preparation with vitamin D3. Tell your Fultium doctor if you are taking an additional dietary supplement. I enclose additional information: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/osteoporoza-jak-zapobiegac-i-jak-leczyc
