After what time does aripyrazole cease to have antipsychotic effects? It is known that the shelf life is from 3 to 6 days. How many such periods must pass in order for its operation to be clearly weaker? Does it always have to be 5 periods of hunting so that the drug does not work?

The mean half-life of aripiprazole (administered orally, there are also prolonged-release aripiprazole injectable preparations) in the elimination phase is approximately 75 hours in subjects with increased CYP2D6 activity and approximately 146 hours in subjects with lower CYP2D6 activity. CYP are enzymes responsible for the metabolism of the drug in the liver. The half-term determines the time after which the concentration of the drug in the blood drops by half. After each subsequent half-life of the drug is again half as much (half of the amount that remained in the body, not from the baseline). The concentration of the drug decreases systematically if subsequent doses are not taken, ultimately aiming at zero. From a mathematical point of view, therefore, at least 5 half-lives must pass to assume that the drug is completely eliminated from the body. On the other hand, the body's response (the perception of inaction or weakening of action) to the decreasing concentration of a medicinal substance may be individually variable. It is worth noting here that oral drugs with aripiprazole are intended for daily use.
