A dose reduction schedule for Bioxetin should be recommended by your doctor. It depends on the dose of the drug taken, the length of its use and the reaction to the change in the dose in the past, hence this process should be individualized. Due to the long half-life of fluoxetine contained in Bioxetin, not a gradual discontinuation of the drug is required in all cases. If the dose is ≥40 mg/day, it is recommended that the dose reduction period be at least 2 weeks. Most often, however, the dose reduction stage of the drug lasts about 4 weeks.
