Should I remove the vaginal disc and wash it after the end of menstruation?

After the end of menstruation, should the vaginal disc be removed and washed or from the first day of menstruation to the end of week 3 should it be inside without any removal? How does this "dirt" after menstruation relate to hygiene and its operation?

Can I remove the NuvaRing disc for three hours and then lay it at room temperature?
Should you put it in the fridge?

The vaginal system in the form of a disc should be left in the vagina for 3 weeks. There are no recommendations to remove the disc for washing after bleeding or after intercourse. Bleeding, sperm, vaginal mucus do not affect the effectiveness of the disc. If you were to feel discomfort, the vaginal therapeutic system can be washed in cold or lukewarm water and put back on as soon as possible. Avoid removing the disc for longer - if the system is outside the vagina for more than 3 hours, the patient may not be protected from becoming pregnant.
