Clinical studies have shown that carbamazepine contained in neurotope may increase appetite, increased food supply, and thus weight gain. One clinical trial showed an increase in body weight in about 67% of patients taking this drug. Weight gain is a side effect observed when using many antiepileptic drugs, m.in gabapentin, valproic acid or pregabalin. Antiepileptic drugs that do not affect weight gain include lamotrigine, levetiracetam and phenytoin. If weight gain is a problem, it's worth talking to your doctor about it. You may be able to find a solution to the problem. I encourage you to read the text: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/otylosc-i-nadwaga
