Good morning, I am in the process of treating helicobacter pyroli bacteria. I take two antibiotics for 14 days. I wanted to ask what probiotic would be the best and for how long it should be taken after the end of treatment. Now I take the probiotic Helicogastrin. Best regards.

To @Makks: There are indications that taking probiotics overnight after the last meal may be more beneficial, because it slows down the work of the intestines, so that the bacteria have more time to colonize the intestines. Ultimately, the choice of time depends on the individual needs of the patient and the preparation used. During antibiotic therapy, it is recommended to use single-strain probiotics containing the yeast Saccharomyces boulardii (e.g. Enterol) or Lactobacillus GG bacteria (e.g. Dicoflor), which have the best documented effect. After completing the treatment, it is worth including a multi-strain probiotic, e.g. Multilac, which will help enrich the intestinal bacterial flora (for a period of at least 2-3 weeks).
