Good morning, On cytology I came out with fungal and bacterial inflammation. The doctor prescribed me Fluomizin 6 tablets. Yesterday I took 5 tablets and today I noticed slightly greenish scabbards. Nothing hurts me or itches. Is this normal? Shouldn't I get an antifungal drug yet? Will home pH tests show whether the treatment was effective or whether a visit to a gynecologist is necessary? Thank you for your reply.

Vaginal discharge may be an adverse reaction to Fluomizin. You should first complete the treatment and if after this time there are no more disturbing symptoms, there is no need to consult a doctor. A home pH test can only detect a bacterial infection, not a fungal one. Fungal intimate infection is characterized by white, cheesy vaginal discharge without a smell, which is usually accompanied by itching and burning.
