Do I need to take placebo pills for withdrawal bleeding to occur?

Hello. I would like to stop taking Vines birth control pills. By the end of the package I have 10 tablets left (6 yellow and 4 green). Can I only take 6 yellow tablets without 4 plecebo? Will the bleeding from withdrawal come without a plecebo anyway? Will I not mess with my cycle, in the hormonal balance? In two months I would like to start trying for a baby.

To @Marzena: Yes, as I wrote: withdrawal bleeding should occur regardless of whether you take placebo pills or not. It is not taking placebo pills that causes bleeding, only a break in taking hormones - placebo tablets do not have them. If you do not take them, you will also end the supply of sex hormones to the body, which should respond with withdrawal bleeding.

Thank you for your reply. This means that if I take all the active pills and no longer take the placebo pills, will the withdrawal bleeding and so on? I will not start the new packaging because I want to end my contraception on these last 6 active pills.

Placebo tablets do not have any action of their own - they are "empty" inside and do not contain hormones. They serve to ensure that the patient remembers to take the drug regularly and is not late with the timely start of the next blister. Withdrawal bleeding should occur regardless of whether you take placebo pills or not. However, I encourage you to choose all active tablets to the end, just to "not mess up". Hormonal contraception is a fully reversible method of preventing pregnancy. After you stop taking the pills, fertility can return very quickly. Sometimes, however, natural cycles do not regulate immediately, which should be borne in mind. If you are planning a pregnancy, please remember about early folic acid supplementation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/8034/doppelherz-jaka-role-spelnia-kwas-foliowy-w-planowaniu-ciazy
