Such a combination is not advisable - both drugs belong to the group of diuretics, that is, diuretics, acting on the kidneys, causing changes in the excretion of the amount of water and electrolytes (such as sodium and potassium) in the urine. Combining these drugs can lead to hypotension and increase the risk of possible side effects. It should also be borne in mind that torsemed (the active substance in Torsemed) increases the excretion of potassium, while spironolactone (Spironol) is one of the potassium-sparing diuretics, i.e. it reduces the amount of potassium excreted. Thus, their mechanisms of action are somehow mutually exclusive. Therefore, if you are taking one of these drugs and due to too weak antihypertensive effect you are considering including another drug - it would be better to consult a doctor and consider increasing the dose of the drug, without attaching another agent with a similar effect to the therapy.
