Why the discrepancy between the Mila nasal test result and PCR?

Yesterday morning I did a quick antigen test at home (Mila test, nasal swab), it turned out to be positive. In the evening I did an official PCR test, the result is negative. Why such a discrepancy in one day?

To @Ma leader: in my opinion, this cannot be assumed. PCR testing is a reference test, which does not mean that it is infallible - especially if you have symptoms and subsequent antigen tests give a positive result. According to Mila COVID test documentation, "A positive result may be due to infection with coronavirus strains other than SARS-CoV-2 or other confounding factors." In this way, false positive results can be formed. At the same time, in the section on cross-reactivity, it can be read that human coronaviruses with low pathogenicity 229E, NL63 or OC43, as well as a number of other viral or bacterial pathogens will not affect the results of the study: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/113578/test-na-koronawirusa-covid-19-antygenowy-z-nosa-mila-sars-cov-2-test/ulotka/268685 In the described situation, I would suggest contacting the local sanitary and epidemiological station in order to consult how this should be done. In my opinion, it may be justified to repeat the PCR test.

Thank you. I did a second antigen test and it's also positive. Recognizing that the PCR test is more reliable, can it be assumed that antigen tests show viruses other than covid, since I am having an infection?

One of the tests is invalid. Unfortunately, both false positives and false negatives happen for both types of tests, although in general the PCR test is considered more reliable. An incorrect result can also be influenced by the technique of material collection, pre-laboratory and laboratory errors.
