How long should one tablet of 5 mg Relanium last?

How long should one tablet of 5 mg relanium last? I take relanium temporarily, in the event of a strong anxiety attack, but it works on me very briefly, because about 1 hour and then again anxiety and anxiety returns.

Up to @Mikolajkin:

The appropriate dosage of Relanium will be determined by your doctor based on your medical history. Long-term use of Relanium can lead to symptoms of drug dependence.

The preparation should be used for the shortest possible time, in the lowest possible dose. If the patient is dissatisfied with the results of the treatment, it is recommended to repeat the consultation. It is also possible to use a teleconsultation in Polish, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja

I have attached a link to check the availability of Relanium and make a reservation at the pharmacy of your choice:

For this reason, the action is short-term due to the fact that the intake is one-time. You simply do not feel the effect of the drug, which is in the blood for another day. If this happens to you and the simultaneous intake of Relanium 5mg brings you relief for only one or two hours, then this is a problem and you need to contact a psychiatrist who will prescribe adequate drug treatment. Until then, I recommend taking Relanium for 2-3 weeks on a regular basis. 2 tablets per day (morning and evening) for a total of 5 to 10 mg per day. I wish you all good luck and take care of yourself. If I had seen this answer 3 years ago, I would have contacted you. There will be an opportunity to write me an answer, I will give you the contact of a good psychiatrist. My call sign in the answer is a nickname in telegram. If you read it, please contact me, I will try to help you.

To @Anna:

I understand that you are going through a difficult time and are struggling with increased anxiety, despite regularly taking medication prescribed by a psychiatrist.

In this situation, you should immediately contact your psychiatrist and inform him or her of the severity of your anxiety symptoms, despite taking medication. He or she may decide to change your dosage or medication to better control your symptoms.

You may also want to consider seeking psychological therapy, which can help you develop effective strategies for coping with anxiety. Treatment of difficulties in the area of psychological functioning only with the use of pharmacological agents carries the risk of intensification of symptoms after discontinuation of medication and in a short time afterwards. If you have not undergone psychotherapy (apart from taking medication), I encourage you to make an appointment for a consultation with an appropriate specialist. If you do not have the opportunity to consult a psychologist, you can take advantage of the teleconsultation here:

Diazepam (the active ingredient in Relanium) is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and reaches its maximum concentration in the blood within 30 - 90 minutes of taking the tablet. The persistence of diazepam and its metabolites (which are also active) in the blood shows significant individual differences. However, it is believed that the drug should work longer than the one hour indicated by you, because the half-life (the time after which the concentration drops by half) is quite long. If you suffer from anxiety disorders that persist, recur, then perhaps a more systematic treatment or psychotherapy will be a better solution. Talk to your doctor about the lack of satisfactory results after taking Relanium tablet.
