If the prescription says "Amantadine 2 op.", you may have difficulty fulfilling such a prescription, because it is not a precise name for the active substance. There are two drugs on the market containing amantadine salts: - Viregyt-K containing amantadine hydrochloride: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/82635/viregyt-k-kapsulki/ulotka/269130 - Amantix containing amantadine sulfate: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/4352/amantix-tabletki-powlekane/ulotka/52578 These are not the same active substances, and both drugs also have different indications for use. Both are used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, and only Viregyt-K is used in the treatment of influenza type A. Therefore, in order for the pharmacist not to have problems with dispensing the drug, the prescription should show the exact name of the active substance (name of the salt), e.g. amantadine hydrochloride, amantadine sulfate or the trade name of the drug - Viregyt-K, Amantix along with the number of packages and possibly dosage.
