Mucus changes depending on the phase of the cycle, so it is impossible to answer what is "10 days before menstruation" - the final date of bleeding is known only when it occurs. However, assuming very regular cycles, 10 days before the expected menstruation, the woman should be after ovulation. Immediately after menstruation, there is generally a lack of mucus or only a slight humidity in the vagina is felt, and the mucus itself is scanty, dense and sticky. The so-called fertile mucus is rare, transparent, stretchy and occurs in an increased amount during ovulation. Mucus before the period (that is, in the second phase of the cycle - between ovulation and bleeding) is again more dense and less transparent, rather viscous and there is less of it than during ovulation. Some women even feel vaginal dryness just before menstruation. In very early pregnancy, mucus can also be poorly felt, so it is not a particularly good predictor of whether a woman is expecting a child. However, you can observe its increased amount of colorless, whitish or slightly yellow color. It is rather sticky and dense to close the mouth of the uterus and thus protect the developing fetus (the so-called "mucous plug" is formed, which falls off just before giving birth).

To @Kwiatek:

The case described shows that there is probably no cause for concern. Watery, sticky mucus can be a natural symptom of the menstrual cycle, especially in the period before the expected period. The lack of itching suggests that an intimate infection is unlikely.

In addition, if the pregnancy tests were negative and the cycle is delayed by 15 days, it may be related to stress, which has affected the regularity of menstruation. Stress can disrupt hormonal balances, leading to delayed ovulation and menstruation. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it is worth consulting a gynecologist.

I have watery, delicate sticky (a little chewy) white mucus. My period is 15 days late. 4 pregnancy tests came out negative, the last one was done 22 days after intercourse from morning urine. He also does not feel any itching. During the day my lower abdomen hurts as if my period is approaching, but I feel it for 3 days now and still nothing. I also experienced a lot of stress during 2 weeks. Is there anything to worry about?
