To @Kejf:

Shortness of breath after quitting smoking can be related to the process of regeneration of the respiratory system, changes in the nervous system, stress, and even psychosomatic reactions. It is important to rule out serious causes, which has already been done in your case.

One possibility is anxiety disorders, which can cause breathing difficulties, especially in stressful situations. In this case, relaxation techniques such as breathing exercises or yoga can help to improve breath control.

Consider consulting a pulmonologist or respiratory physiotherapist – breathing exercises can significantly improve breathing comfort. It is also worth paying attention to the level of stress, which can exacerbate the symptoms, and possibly seek psychological help.

Can anyone explain how they dealt with it? I have shortness of breath several times a day, I am not able to take a breath normally, a gastroscopy (everything is fine), an X-ray of the lungs and spirometry, everything comes out perfectly, and I still can't breathe, my heart, aorta, they checked my oxygen saturation several times and everything comes out fine. I'm asking for some advice, because I see that a lot of people have the same problem. Please help me

These shortness of breath are anxiety attacks, the body panics and wants to force smoking. Breathing exercises and temporarily validol for sucking help, but the awareness that it is anxiety helped me the most

For two days I have been gradually quitting cigarettes (I smoked them for 18 years) and ecigarettes (I smoked them for 6 years). I also confirm that I have shortness of breath and my lungs squeeze.

BAD BREATHING ... From my experience, you have to pay very attention to what you eat! My,, heavy breathing,,disappeared after about withdrawal... Bread!!! Not overeating, supplements to support liver function, probiotics to regulate the functioning of the INTESTINES!! In the early days of quitting smoking, I had a ravenous appetite which put a serious strain on my liver and digestive system! Bloated abdomen and other organs ... It severely impaired my breathing, which I only associated with the respiratory tract, not the digestive tract!

I have the same. I vapoured for two years - I did not part with an electric cigarette. From waking up to night, I smoked it all the time. Today I decided to quit and after a few hours of non-smoking I have problems with breathing. I can not take a strong breath and the body as if forgets that it should breathe ... has it passed? My chest squeezes terribly - I will only add that he does not cough.
