Cipronex (ciprofloxacin) is a powerful fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. In some patients, it can cause the so-called "herxy" reaction, which involves the release of toxins from dying bacteria, which leads to a deterioration in well-being.
In the event of severe symptoms, such as weakness, fever or muscle pain, it is worth consulting a doctor – sometimes it is necessary to break treatment or modify it. However, it should be remembered that not every patient will experience such reactions, and the decision to discontinue antibiotics should always be made after consulting a doctor.
In my opinion, Cipronex is a strong antibiotic. And if someone has a lot of other pathogenic bacteria in them, such as Lyme disease, babesiosis, or others. it is then that after taking Cipronex 500 in particular, a very large amount of strong toxins from these dead bacteria gets into the body's blood, the person feels terrible, the body cannot keep up with the removal of these toxins and gets poisoned, which causes internal damage, even permanent, and can even cause death. These are the so-called herxes. In such a situation, after taking 1-3 tablets, you should stop taking the drug for a few days so that the body has time to remove toxins, or when you feel good and the symptoms are still terrible, stop taking the drug completely. Some Michael took this drug for 30 days and had no side effects. That's right, because it didn't have any other bacteria in it that would secrete such blue toxins. So, let everyone look at the side effects after taking the drug and let them react and not think that apparently it has to be this way, because it really may not help themselves, but harm themselves.
I took it for 30 days for complicated epididymal zap. The drug worked. There are no side effects. The fact that despite taking the drug, I stopped strength training for only 7 days.
So please don't write that everyone will have a problem.

Ciprofloxacin, like other fluoroquinolones, can cause rare but serious side effects, including neuropathies, muscle pain, tendon pain, as well as mental problems such as anxiety and depression. The symptoms you describe, although extremely rare, are described in the medical literature and known to regulators, which is confirmed by the update of leaflets of drugs from this group. It is important to report side effects to your doctor and appropriate institutions. If symptoms are present, support in regeneration (time, proper diet, supplementation) can help, although treatment is mainly symptomatic. Fluoroquinolones should not be used without justified indications, and their choice as a first-line drug is currently restricted.
A few years ago I was given this poison for prostatitis (as it turned out later). After 5 pills of 500 mg I was suddenly taken care of for more than 2 years. Suddenly on the 3rd day, physical symptoms appeared (pain in the legs, knees, ankles, tendons, neuralgia in the limbs, burning inside the legs and arms, sensitive skin of the hands to the sun as if it burned, stinging, pinching, paresthesia, lack of sensation, complete lack of strength in the muscles, severe dizziness for half a year, headaches) and mental symptoms (panic attacks, depression, suicidal thoughts, apathy, sleep problems). I was like a living corpse, without psyche and without strength (legs made of cotton wool). Twice in the ER for this reason, the results were OK, nothing was found, the neurologist was OK, the head X-ray was OK, the carotid arteries were OK. Six months of leave from a psychiatrist. I was unable to function. Only Polish and American Internet forums about this drug helped. There is no direct help for this, there are only the right supplements and time. If it does not permanently damage the tendons, it will be ok, but there must be time for the regeneration of nerve cells, which this chemistry destroys completely. There are thousands of victims around the world, including permanent invalids. It's been 5 years but I'm still taking Asestra for depression from a psychiatrist and it's ok. Physically, 98% of the time is ok, sometimes I still feel muscle weakness and burning in my legs (very rarely). Don't take this shit at all costs, this pseudo-drug can give side effects only after a year or two, then no one will associate them with this drug. In my case, they occurred after 3 days of biting, but I associated it only after the second attack and stay in the ER. No doctor believed it, only a urologist, years later (another) confirmed that it could have been so after this drug and also knows such people. Therefore, cipro should not be recommended as a first-line drug. The American agency Drugs & Foods recommends not taking this drug unless it is necessary. This is slowly reaching Polish urologists. I reported side effects to the Polish manufacturer of the drug, they signed up, thanked me, no help. Since then, I think the content of the leaflet has changed slightly.
Has anyone managed to recover from this antibiotic? I mean, have the muscle aches stopped? My hands are already dropping, what to do :(
A "drug" prescribed for cystitis. Horrible side effects - hives all over the body and dermography, i.e. allergy to touch (I didn't even know that such a "miracle" existed. Anxiety, headaches, muscle contractures (my fingers were twisting a terrible feeling, lack of control). I've been rocking with skin problems for a year after this shit .... Dermatologist spreads his hands ... apparently this drug caused such a chain reaction in you. I warn
I after the first dose of Cipronex began to have chronic, stiffness, cramps, burning, paresthesia, bone pain in the body. It's been 5 years since I'm lying disabled in bed and I'm 30 years old. I received it for cystitis.
But after what drug????? Here I see we are talking about several drugs at once!!! 🙈🙈🙈🙈
Terrible... o glossitis plus after discontinuation two days ago eternal overflow in the abdomen
Justyna, are these pains gone? My daughter took 5 days 2x 750 mg for otitis after 3 days from the end of the treatment has pricking in both feet
I confirm, I had such strong cramps in my legs after this "drug" that I had to crawl to the medicine cabinet for magnesium. Then I read in the leaflet about the threat of cramps up to and including "Achilles tendon rupture". Massacre.
It's apparently a terrible poison I fortunately wzielem two pieces after I found Polish forums and American what this drug did to people
