Can Groprinosin be given to a child who has not previously been diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus?
The Groprinosin syrup leaflet contains the following information: "Groprinosin can only be used in patients who have a history of herpes simplex virus infection". The son was never diagnosed with herpes. Does this mean that he can not take syrup? He was prescribed by a doctor at the time of chickenpox.
