The tick examination is for information purposes only and does not constitute grounds for starting Lyme disease treatment.
The presence of Borrelia bacteria in a tick does not mean that you are infected with Lyme disease. A large proportion of ticks show the bacterium or traces of it, and infection occurs in several percent of cases, depending on the length of contact with the tick, the method of removal, etc. Also, a negative test result for a tick does not mean that it is not infected: this is only verified by a blood test. Without performing such an examination, do not take any therapeutic measures on your own.

Tak, może Pani zbadać wyjętego kleszcza (jeśli go jeszcze Pani posiada) na obecność bakterii Borrelia.
W aptece może Pani kupić test diagnostyczny, który wykrywa bakterię boreliozy u kleszcza. Jest to, np. test Sprawdź kleszcza:

Można go wykonać samodzielnie w domu korzystając z instrukcji dołączonej do opakowania.
Kleszcza można zbadać także w laboratorium. Badanie polega na poszukiwaniu materiału genetycznego w próbce metodą Real-Time PCR.
W zależności od wymogów danego laboratorium, kleszcza po usunięciu ze skóry należy umieścić w pojemniku i maksymalnie do 48 godzin dostarczyć do placówki, przechowując go w temperaturze 4-8°C lub zalać pajęczaka 70-96% alkoholem, np. spirytusem i dopiero zawieźć do placówki. Nie należy w tym celu stosować alkoholi zanieczyszczonych (np. denaturatu) lub preparatów alkoholowych przeznaczonych do dezynfekcji.
Na temat szczegółowych wymagań dotyczących przechowywania kleszcza należy porozmawiać z pracownikiem laboratorium.
