Is Flixonase Nasule a rather weak or powerful steroid?
Is flixonase nasule (used at half an ampoule per day for each nasal opening) a rather weak or powerful steroid? it was prescribed to me by an ENT doctor with chronic sinusitis, which lasted for several weeks, and after almost 2 weeks there is no improvement. Another doctor who, analyzing the result of the tomography of the sinus comp.sinuses confirmed the inflammation of the sinus (already taking place at this point without colored secretions or a large amount of runny nose - manifested mainly by severe headache and eye pain and throat secretions), did not change the steroid or increase the dose of flixonase nasule to 1 ampoule per day per hole. And I doubt that the treatment is not too weak.. is it so long waiting for the action of these drops as reported in the leaflet manufacturer: 4-6 weeks? Please help.

Propionian flutykazonu - substancja czynna leku Flixonase Nasule - należy do 3 grupy sterydów (3 pod względem mocy działania), czyli glikokortykosteroidów o dużej sile działania ( 1 grupa to sterydy najsilniejsze, 2 grupa o dużej sile działania). Podział obejmuje aż 7 grup leków sterydowych.
Niestety, w celu uzyskania pełnego działania leku Flixoanse Nasule wymagane jest kilkutygodniowe leczenie. Maksymalnie na działanie czeka się do 6 tygodni. Jeżeli po tym czasie nie następuje poprawa, należy rozważyć alternatywne metody leczenia.
2 tygodnie to jeszcze zdecydowanie za mało, aby zaobserwować trwałą poprawę.
