Can Provera be used for cirrhosis?

Witam.Mam 50 years. The doctor today prescribed me Provera to stop menstruation,2xdzien tabl.10 mg.na period of more than three months so far. I forgot to tell my doctor that I had been diagnosed with cirrhosis. My question is whether Provera will not affect the deterioration of my liver condition? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Proverę należy stosować bardzo ostrożnie u osób z zaburzeniami wątroby. Stosowanie tego leku może obciążać wątrobę, dlatego najbezpieczniej będzie, jeśli skonsultuje się Pani z lekarzem i powie mu o tej dolegliwości. Być może konieczne będzie zmniejszenie dawki leku. Jeśli lekarz zdecyduje się przy nim pozostać- warto regularnie badać stan wątroby, wykonując badania krwi.
