Has anyone already reported gastric problems after the drug Debutir?
Hello
I have IBS in the acute diarrhea variety. I used debutir, but after 3 days even stronger diarrhea and huge bloating appeared, but without gas. Just a big belly and gurgling inside. No side effects were found on the basis of the leaflet, am I the exception to the rule, or has someone already reported similar problems?

But Debutir is not a drug, and unfortunately it is not well researched.
The most studied sodium butyrate is present in Intesta Max. This is a sachet of butyrate, so there is no capsule either. The capsule itself can cause side effects.
Besides, there are some ingredients in Debutira that can ferment additionally. e.g. alginate.

This causes a rearrangement of the intestinal microbiota – it inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria and at the same time stimulates the growth of health-promoting bacteria. This is a natural process that in some patients may manifest itself in diarrhea, flatulence or increased fermentation.
The most commonly recommended dose is about 600-800 mg per day, which may be too high for patients who have been struggling with diarrhea, flatulence and fermentation for a long time. Then unpleasant reactions may occur.
In this situation, you should start with lower doses, such as 200 mg once a day, and slowly increase the amount, giving the microbiota time to adapt.
After taking it, I had terrible diarrhea, watery and very smelly. Enterol helps me. I noticed that after taking vitamin B complex, my bowel movement is also regulated.
