Is Clemastinum also used in case of a thick runny nose?
I got clemastinum because my son had red eyes during the infection. Qatar was very much and it was dense and now my question. Is clemastinum used when the runny nose after 3 days has become very, very thick, even difficult to remove? I will add that the sneezing and red eyes have passed. Wskazaniem do stosowania leku Clemastinum jest między innymi łagodzenie objawów alergicznego zapalenia błony śluzowej nosa, takich jak wodnista wydzielina z nosa, kichanie, łzawienie.
Lek także stosuje się w naczynioruchowym nieżycie nosa (niealergiczne zakażenie nosa, gardła lub klatki piersiowej).
W ulotce nie ma wskazań do podawania w przypadku zakażeń górnych dróg oddechowych. Jednak lekarz może podać lek poza wskazaniami, opierając się na swojej wiedzy i doświadczeniu.
Klemastyna - substancja aktywna leku - należy do substancji o działaniu przeciwhistaminowym I generacji. Hamuje ona skurcz mięśni gładkich układu oddechowego, który może wystąpić w wyniku reakcji na histaminę. Lek wpływa także na zmniejszenie nadprodukcji wydzieliny w drogach oddechowych.
