"What Ulcamed is and what it is used for:
Ulcamed treats ulcers and inflammation of the mucous membranes by forming a protective layer and helps to stop further irritation caused by hydrochloric acid in the stomach. It also has antibacterial properties against Helicobacter pylori - bacteria that can cause mucositis and ulcers. In order to cure ulcers, it is necessary to completely remove (eradicate) the bacteria.
Ulcamed helps to eliminate or reduce inflammation caused by these bacteria. Your doctor may use Ulcamed in combination with other medicines to help remove Helicobacter pylori bacteria."
