Can a sudden change of stool in a 3-month-old baby fed with formula milk – from greenish every other day to yellow with mucus after each feeding be a cause for concern?

Hello, I have a 3-month-old daughter, for over a month she has been fed with nan optipro plus milk, after which she defecated on average every other day, these were mostly greenish poops, while since yesterday she poops practically after every feeding and it is usually yellow with trailing threads as if mucus, the consistency is rather not watery, What could be the reason for this?

In infants of this age, changes in the frequency and appearance of stool are quite common, especially with formula. The yellow color and presence of mucus may be associated with the maturation of the digestive system or mild intolerance. If the child feels well, has an appetite and is gaining weight properly, the situation can be observed for now. If disturbing symptoms appear, such as fever, blood in the stool, vomiting or a significant change in behavior, it is worth consulting a pediatrician.
