If your eye doctor has recommended the use of Softacort for 30 days, you should stick to their recommendations unless you experience side effects.

Softacort (a corticosteroid) can relieve inflammation, but it does not directly treat Demodex – in these cases, antiparasitic treatment is usually also used.

Regular hygiene of the eyelid edges is also an important element of treatment. It is aimed at, m.in other things, removing lipids, sebum and exfoliated epithelium from the surface of the skin, which are the food of Demodex insects. For this purpose, it is worth using special liquids or tissues containing essential oils of chia and tea tree, aloe vera or menthol, e.g.
