Hello, my 10-month-old baby caught Campylobacter bacteria. She took an antibiotic for 3 days in the hospital. Now he has diarrhea or is it supposed to be like this for a week, or is it getting worse? I'm sorry, but I won't get to the doctor today and I'm looking for some information.

Diarrhoea after Campylobacter can persist for up to 1-2 weeks, despite treatment. If it does not intensify, the child drinks, does not have a fever and is in good shape - this may be normal. However, if the diarrhea is worsening, there is blood, the child is dehydrated or looks weakened - you need to consult your doctor again.
