Hello. She has been using Beto 50 ZK for 10 days. Every day, after taking this drug, I have dizziness, sometimes a feeling as if I was about to go black in front of my eyes and tightness in my chest. Such a condition sometimes disappears after a short time, and sometimes only in the afternoon.
Is this normal?

Dizziness is a common side effect of metoprolol, especially at the beginning of treatment or after dose escalation. They occur in up to 10% of patients using this drug.
This is the result of the body's adaptation to the beta-blocker and can take several days or weeks. However, if the symptoms are worrying or make it difficult to function on a daily basis, it is worth consulting a doctor – it may be necessary to reduce the dose of the drug.
