Loperamide has an antidiarrheal effect, inhibiting intestinal peristalsis and improving the consistency of stool, while Smecta (diosmectite) has adsorption capacity and may affect the absorption of other drugs, hence the recommendation to maintain a time interval. If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours or other worrying symptoms appear, you should consult a doctor immediately.
