Below is a detailed description of the use of Herpex cream:
"Herpex should be applied with a cotton stick, taking enough cream to apply to the infected skin area. The cream should be used not only on visible lesions caused by herpes (blisters, edema papules, redness), but also on the adjacent surface of the skin.
If you apply the cream directly with your fingers, wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the cream to prevent infection of the affected area of the skin (e.g. by bacteria) and the spread of the herpes virus to the uninfected mucous membrane and skin.
The cream is usually used for 5 days. If the skin lesions have not healed, treatment can be continued until the lesions heal or scabs form. However, the duration of treatment should not be longer than 10 days.
The product is most effective when used immediately after the first symptoms of herpes infection (burning, itching, tightness and redness). Treatment is not effective at the stage when skin eruptions form scabs. "
