"Senaxa PR is indicated as monotherapy for the short-term treatment of primary insomnia, characterized by poor sleep quality, in patients aged 55 years or older."
Justification for the above indication:
"Because of melatonin's role in the regulation of sleep and circadian rhythm and the age-related reduced production of endogenous melatonin, melatonin may be effective in improving sleep quality, particularly in patients over the age of 55 with primary insomnia."
Your doctor may also recommend taking Senaxa in younger people if such a treatment may be beneficial at the time. Discuss the details of your treatment with your doctor.
The use of Senaxy SR in underage patients has not been studied, so the use of the drug under 18 years of age is not recommended.
