Can I use Brintellix for tension and rheumatic pain?
12.99 zł

Is brintellix indicated for rheumatic pain, back pain, headache and muscle pain? After consulting with a neurologist, he prescribed me brintellix 10mg. I rarely have anxiety, I don't feel depressive states either. However, I have severe muscle pain - shoulders, neck. Which causes a severe headache. In addition, muscle cramps, tingling sensation in various parts of the body. Should I take this medicine?

It is not a typical remedy for rheumatic pains or tension pain in the spine, head and muscles. However, pain can be caused by anxiety or depression.
If your doctor suspects that your tension pain is anxiety-based, Brintellix may provide relief. However, as I mentioned, this is not a typical use of this drug.

If you do not see any improvement after about 2-3 weeks of treatment, it is worth consulting your doctor again. It may be necessary to change the method of treatment, e.g. to a drug with duloxetine or amitriptyline.

If you would like to consult a doctor, here is the possibility of tele-consultation:
