Yes, Rybelsus (semaglutide) can cause intestinal obstruction in rare cases. However, this is a very rare and serious side effect that requires immediate medical consultation.
Mild to moderate gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal pain, flatulence or constipation are more common in patients. If symptoms suggestive of intestinal obstruction appear, such as severe abdominal pain, vomiting or inability to pass gas and stool, you should see a doctor immediately.
The preparation should be used in combination with a proper diet and physical exercise. The diet should be designed to provide all the necessary nutrients. It may be helpful to use the help of a qualified dietitian in developing a diet.
