The length of the label's effect is difficult to assess unequivocally. Depending on the dose, the patient's body weight and his physiological predispositions, Esperal works for 8-12 months. I strongly advise against drinking alcohol during the period of action. The combination of disulfiram with alcohol leads to severe side effects, which in extreme cases may end in heart attack, convulsions and loss of consciousness.
