A typical treatment with Vermox lasts 1 day (pinworm) or 3 days (other parasites). Prolonged use should be justified by a doctor and requires additional consultation.

The standard dosage of Vermox (mebendazole) depends on the type of parasite:

* For pinworm (Enterobius vermicularis), a single dose of 100 mg is recommended, with the possibility of repeating after 2-4 weeks in case of recurrence of infection.

* For other infections (ascariasis, whipworm, hookworm), 100 mg twice a day for 3 days is used.

A 2-week treatment (1 tablet per day) is not a typical treatment regimen and is not supported by official guidelines.

I encourage you to consult your doctor again to clarify the dosage, as using the drug for too long or inappropriately may increase the risk of side effects or be ineffective.
