Can 8 and 9 year olds take Broncho-Vaxom 7 mg?
25.98 zł

Is the dose of broncho vaxom 7 mg for a son 9 years old and for a daughter 8 years old not too high a dose. This is what a pulmonologist prescribed for me, but I prefer to make sure before I give it because it says for adults on the packaging.

Broncho-vaxom 7 mg is indicated for the prevention of recurrent respiratory tract infections (DSIs) in adult patients. Children under 12 years of age should receive - according to the manufacturer's recommendations - a dose of 3.5 mg. Your doctor may prescribe a different use of the medicine than the one indicated in the summary of product characteristics. In such a situation, any ambiguities should be discussed directly with the doctor (especially if you suspect that there may have been a mistake in prescribing the medicine).
