Finjuve is a skin spray medicine that contains finasteride. The indication for use is the treatment of mild to moderate male pattern baldness (so-called androgenetic alopecia) in adult men aged 18 to 41 years, in order to stimulate hair growth and prevent further hair loss. Just like any other drug, Finjuve can cause side effects - both topical and systemic. Common side effects include itching and erythema. However, a decrease in serum dihydrotestosterone (a metabolite of testosterone) has been observed very commonly.
Although the risk is lower compared to oral finasteride, there is a risk of general side effects. These include, for example, sexual disorders (decreased libido, erectile dysfunction and ejaculation), hypersensitivity reactions (rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema), depression, anxiety disorders, palpitations, increased liver enzymes, testicular pain, breast tenderness and enlargement, hematospermia, infertility. Of course, side effects may or may not occur. It depends on the individual body's response to treatment.
