Black stools are not a typical or common side effect of Gastrotuss.
Gastrotuss is an anti-reflux syrup containing, m.in, magnesium alginate, simethicone, zinc oxide and plant extracts that help relieve heartburn and protect the mucous membrane of the esophagus and stomach. Among the ingredients is zinc oxide, which can cause darker stool coloration.
If you notice black stools after taking Gastrotussa, it is worth consulting a doctor, as black stools can also be a sign of bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract and require the exclusion of more serious causes.
