Hello, I've been taking Asentra50 for a month now. For a few days I have noticed that I have a lot of bruises on my legs, some of them may be the result of physiotherapy, but before after such treatments I had no visible changes on my skin.
I am also 4 months after laser removal of varicose veins in both legs.
Blood tests performed in February did not show any abnormalities.
Could these bruises be the result of taking this drug?

Yes, Asentra (sertraline) can increase the risk of bruising because it affects platelet function and the clotting process. Although physiotherapy and previous treatment for varicose veins can also promote bruising, it is worth consulting a doctor, especially if the bruises appear more frequently or for no apparent reason. It is possible that it will be necessary to check the coagulation parameters. In the case of heavy or alarming bleeding, you should see a specialist immediately.
