Yes, the use of Actelsar (telmisartan) has the potential to contribute to dry eyes.

Antihypertensive drugs, including angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as telmisartan, are listed among the preparations that can cause dry eyes. This symptom may be the result of an adverse effect of many systemic drugs.

If you experience dry eyes while using Actelsar, you should consult your doctor, who may consider modifying the therapy or recommend appropriate lubricating drops. It is also worth remembering that Actelsar HCT (a combination of telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide) contains an additional ingredient that may exacerbate some side effects.
