Intestinal pain after taking Zevesin may be a symptom of a side effect such as constipation, nausea or indigestion, which are relatively common when using this medicine. First of all, you should consult your attending physician, especially if the pain is severe, persists or is accompanied by other worrying symptoms. It is also worth paying attention to whether there are any symptoms indicating more serious disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, such as intestinal patency disorders, which are a contraindication to the use of Zevesin.
In the meantime, you can try taking the medication with a meal, which can relieve gastrointestinal discomfort. Do not increase or decrease the dose of the drug yourself without talking to your doctor. If the symptoms are very bothersome, the doctor may consider changing the therapy or using medications to alleviate the symptoms of the gastrointestinal tract.
Please remember that side effects of medications should be reported to your doctor or individually. By reporting side effects, you help other patients, including your relatives, who may also need the same drug one day. This step also allows us to gather more information on the safety of medicinal products and update data on them. We wrote about how to do it here:
