Dizziness, drowsiness, and weakness are common side effects of both Lamotrigine (Lamilept) and Levetiracetam. Increasing the dose or adding a new drug may worsen these symptoms, especially at the beginning of therapy or when the doses are increased too quickly. The body needs time to get used to them.
If the symptoms are very bothersome and severe, it is worth contacting the attending physician, who may consider adjusting the dose or changing the therapy. Do not stop treatment on your own, as this may lead to a recurrence of the disease.
In the meantime, it is recommended to avoid driving and operating machines, and to ensure that you get enough rest and stay hydrated. If the symptoms worsen or other disturbing symptoms appear, you should see a specialist immediately.
