I have leukemia and severe neutropenia, can I use Rinvoq?

Howdy! I have large T-cell lucemia but as I also have rheumatoid arthritis, the rheumatologist prescribed me the treatment with Rinvoq. HOW CAN THEY RECOMMEND THIS DRUG WITH SEVERE NEUTROPENIA(0.40)?. Thanks for your reply!

If the doctor did not have information about your test results, diseases or other medications used, I encourage you to go for another consultation. According to the information in the Summary of Product Characteristics:

"Treatment should not be initiated in patients whose absolute lymphocyte count (ALC) is < 0.5 x 10^9 cells/l, absolute neutrophil count (ANC) is < 1 x 10^9 cells/l, or haemoglobin (Hb) is < 8 g/dl."
