When after taking Efferalgan Codein Can a professional driver drive a car?
12.99 zł

I would like to know how long I can't drive after one tablet of efferalgan codeine.

About 6 hours after taking the pill, I was driving, I had a routine check-up and drug tests. He came out positive for opiates.
The blood was washed about 8 hours after taking the tablet. I am a professional driver and I am very worried about how it may end.

The test can give a positive result up to 48 hours after taking a codeine tablet.

Codeine, like most drugs, is metabolized by a complex of liver enzymes. Approximately 90% of the dose taken is excreted in the urine within the first 24 hours of taking codeine. The entire dose of codeine taken is excreted within 48 hours.

For professional drivers, you should not drive for up to 48 hours after taking the tablet.

When it comes to legal consequences, you should consult a lawyer here.

As far as I know, in Poland, driving under the influence of substances acting as opioids (codeine is one of them) can be treated as driving under the influence of an intoxicant – even if it is a prescription drug.
