Was Itrax the wrong choice if the skin lesions are still present after treatment?
12.99 zł

Good morning. I take ITRAX for fungal lesions under the armpits and folliculitis on the head. 2 times a day for a total of 14 days. Despite the almost completed treatment, the changes still appear. Does this indicate a poorly selected drug? rather, ITRAX should get the matter under control.

Itrax is used to treat fungal infections of the skin. If the lesions are still present despite treatment, you should consult your dermatologist again. It is worth performing a culture test to assess the type of pathogen and choose the appropriate treatment. Sometimes skin infections can be combined with an allergic reaction and then (without microscopic assessment) it is difficult to clearly assess the cause of the ailment. In the case of mixed infections, e.g. fungal/bacterial, treatment with a single preparation may also be insufficient.

In case of any doubts, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation with a dermatologist - the service is available on our website in the e-visit tab:
