Can candesartan cause nausea, anxiety and tinnitus? Will the symptoms pass?
Good morning, My doctor prescribed me candesartan cilexetil 2 mg for migraines and blood pressure at the same time. I've been taking it for 4 days now and have nausea and terrible anxiety in the morning. Sometimes also such strange noises in the head. Is it possible that these symptoms will pass or should I rather go to the doctor for a change of medication?

Nausea is a possible side effect of candesartan. Side effects usually occur in the first weeks of treatment and resolve spontaneously over time. If the use of the drug is associated with too much discomfort and you are unable to function normally, you should consult your doctor.
Anxiety and tinnitus have not been reported as side effects of candesartan. It may be worth consulting a doctor to rule out other causes.
