Can I take a double dose of Metformin and Rybelsus if I forgot to take my medicines?
I have blood sugar at 400 because today I forgot to take both rybelsus and metformin. Now to remedy it I took a double dose of both rybelsus and metformin. Did I do wrong?

If you forget to take a dose of Rybelsus, do not take the missed dose and take the next dose the following day.
The maximum daily dose of Metformin is 3 grams in 2 or 3 divided doses. Sudden increase in dose may cause side effects.
In summary, do not take double amounts of medication (or missed doses in close proximity to your next dose). The risk of side effects, drug poisoning, severe gastrointestinal ailments and, in the case described, hypoglycemia is significantly increased. If you feel worse, you should see a doctor.
