I encourage you to first consult an internist who will conduct an initial assessment of the patient and refer you to specific tests (e.g. blood) that should be performed before starting treatment. In case of doubt, the patient will be referred to a diabetologist. You can also look for a doctor specializing in the treatment of obesity (the so-called obesitologist - this is not an official specialization, but a term indicating the profile of interests of a given doctor). It should be remembered that pharmacotherapy should always go hand in hand with caloric reduction and physical activity.
